Maliha Sanyal
Hi, I'm Maliha Sanyal, something you may not guess about me is that I'm half Pakistani and half Filipino although I've gotten everything from Brazilian, Hawaiian, Spanish, you name it. Speaking of names my parents wanted to give me one that would fit both in the east as well as the west. I've had it pronounced as Maliya, Malahai and the best one Malihaha! I have lived in Beautiful British Columbia since the tender age of 11, have attended the University of British Columbia, studied Sciences and Sociology and ended up working in neither once I was finished. Instead I have worked in what seems like a hundred jobs as I need constant challenge and stimulation to keep me engaged. Some of my more interesting roles have been working for the olympics, Jillaroo, event coordinator in a hostel in Oz, working at an international art publisher and currently as Marketing Manager for Steal the Deal Vancouver, photography consultant and a host for Jiggy.TV. A few random facts about me, I'm training for a half marathon this year, am hiking the West Coast Trail in June, have a deep love for the arts, an eye for design and the aesthetic, am hooked on cultural events, love love bringing together community in all respects, have a passion for getting elbow and knee deep in good causes and find nothing more stimulating than having an in-depth conversation with anyone who has an interesting or inspiring story so if that is you, contact me today and lets chat.
